Many of Kimbo Slice’s fans and followers have been wondering “Where is Kimbo Slice?” and “When will his next fight be?” Sorry, but at this time there is no new news on who Kimbo will be in the ring against. There should at least be around two more professional boxing set up for the legendary street brawler by the end of this year. It has been said that Kimbo has been training very hard in Miami with his boxing coach John David Jackson.

Kimbo has also been working on the theatrical release of his biography film in which will showcase his entire life in the film. Kimbo and manager Mike Imber have been working closely with Kevin Connolly, whom is known for his acting role in the HBO series Entourage and is a director, in producing this Kimbo anticipated film. No word yet of when this film will begin filming or when a release date will be, but it will surely be an amazing movie to go out and see.

So maybe you’ve been on the Team Kimbo bandwagon for some time now or maybe you just jumped on, whatever the case is welcome aboard. Kevin Ferguson better known as Kimbo Slice has proven himself to be quiet the competitor no matter if it’s in the backyard or a professional rink. He’s ability to KO (knockout) his competitors with one punch has shocked some and hooked others. He’s gone from beating down every day “John Doe’s” in back yards to fighting against some of the biggest names in MMA. There’s no denying that there’s a large jump from back yard fighting to MMA fighting. That’s why it wasn’t much of a shock when Kimbo Slice decided to walk away from the MMA fighting world to join Pro-Boxing, which is way more up his alley.  Some of you may remember back in June of 2011 when the story first broke. Kevin Connelly did an interview with The Wrap where he discussed his goal after completing Entourage. He spoke about his desire to direct Kevin Ferguson aka Kimbo Slice’s life story.

Connelly told The Wrap, “I’m trying to get the Kimbo Slice story made.” He went on to add, “I have his life rights, we have a script that’s great. It’s out and about, and the powers that be are trying to put the money together.”

Connelly also spoke to them about Kimbo’s shocking rise to celebrity status thanks to use backyard street fights. He said that Kimbo SLice was the first person he had ever met that you could type their name into You Tube and all his videos would popup. Connelly also went on to share a few details regarding the process of putting together the script. After all there is much more to Kimbo’s life style then backyard fights, MMA and now Boxing. Kimbo Slice was a young kid growing up on the tough streets of Miami Florida that faced many difficulties.

“It’s so personal to sit with a writer who you don’t know and tell them your deepest, darkest secrets and your life story, so I think it took him a second to get used to,” Connolly said. “But him and the writer really hit it off, and I couldn’t be happier with the script. I’m ready to go.”

Well to bring you up to date Kimbo Slice’s manager Icey Mike Imber confirmed that they movie is still in the works.  During an interview Mike Imber was asked what he’s expectations and hopes were for Kimbo Slice. He replied, “Even before his career is over I believe you’ll be seeing Kimbo in Hollywood more often… He’s already had some successfull roles and some more are in the works… We have recently teamed up with Kevin Connelly and are developing Kimbo’s life story, which we are planning to make into a theatrical release…”

As many have already figured Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson is a man of many talents. He has gone from being a middle linebacker on the football field to the king of back yard street fights to becoming an MMA fighter and now a Pro-Boxer. Aside from all this work in the rinks he’s fame and beast appearance has landed him several acting gigs including he’s latest role of Zulu Kondo in the movie “The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption”. Kimbo Slice 38, is bringing in the New Year on fight after another with the accompany of his good friend and manager “Icey” Mike Imber. He had his most recent fight just last week on December 30,2011. This was Kimbo’s third professional boxing fight, which he won against Charles Hachman. Kimbo Slice currently holds a (3-0, 2KO) record. On February 11th he’ll be going up against Robert Bruce (2-0, 2 KO) who is almost 10 years younger then Kimbo Slice. While Bruce is undefeated he also has had a professional fight in the past 5 years. Whether or not that will have been to his benefit only time will tell. Either way you look at it Bruce is thought to be a good competitor that should keep Kimbo on his toes. The fight is currently schedule to take place in O’Reilly Center, Springfield, Missouri.

Kevin Ferguson aka Kimbo Slice won his third professional boxing match against Charles Hackman last week on December 30th. It was reported that Kimbo was actually scheduled to fight a different opponent and was informed of the switch the day prior to the fight. Slice was unaware of Hackman’s fighting style but luckily for him that didn’t hold him back. It was a close fight Kimbo Slice Defeating Charles Hackman by way of UD 39-37 Slice winning 3 out of 4 rounds. By the end of the fight both men were left exhausted and out of breath. This win has brought Kimbo to a 3-0, 2KO record and he has another fight scheduled for February 11th against Robert Bruce.

Kimbo hits the boxing ring again for his third boxing match back at Buffalo Run Casino / Miami, Oklahoma on December 30th, 2011. Then on Febuary 11th 2012 he will be fighting at The O’Reilly Center / Springfield, Missouri. Opponents have not been announced yet.
